How pricing works
reservationbay starts without a monthly subscription. Flex is €0 a month and takes 2.95% of each booking. Two further plans exist to lower that cost as you grow: Growth at €49 a month drops the commission to 1.5%, and Pro at €149 removes it altogether. All three include every feature and unlimited locations and objects.
Flex is the default, and for a seasonal business it usually stays the right answer: a month with no bookings costs nothing. Growth and Pro are there for when volume makes a fixed fee cheaper than a percentage.
Payment processing is the second cost, and it is charged per transaction on top of your plan — an iDEAL transaction is 25 cents on Flex, 22 on Growth and 20 on Pro. Every rate is published in full below, and every one of them improves as your plan rises.

Your invoice has two parts. One is your plan: the monthly fee plus the commission on your bookings. The other is payment processing, charged per transaction at the rates below. The two are never blended into a single percentage, so you can always see what the platform costs you and what the payment network does.

A deposit held by pre-authorisation is not a transaction. You are charged only if you settle against the hold after damage.
When moving up lowers your costs
Growth and Pro trade a fixed monthly fee for a lower commission, so each one starts saving you money above a certain booking volume.
Growth costs €49 more than Flex but charges 1.45 percentage points less per booking, so it pays for itself at about €3,400 of bookings a month. Pro costs €100 more than Growth and removes the remaining 1.5%, so it pays for itself at about €6,700 a month.
In short: stay on Flex under roughly €3,400 a month, move to Growth between €3,400 and €6,700, and to Pro above that. Those figures cover the software only — payment costs sit on top and also fall with each plan, which brings the crossover points down slightly.

What you can hold us to
- Every payment rate is published in full on this page, per method and per plan — nothing is quoted only on request.
- No feature paywall on the things a rental business needs to operate safely: contracts, deposits, inspections and the customer portal are on every plan, including Flex.
- No per-user or per-seat charge — put your whole counter team in the account.
- No charge for locations, categories or objects, however many you add.
- No bundling of payment cost into the software fee. You always see which line is which.
- No silent rate change. If a rate moves, you hear it from us before it applies, not from an invoice.
- Your data is yours and exportable, whichever plan you are on.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a monthly subscription?
Not to start. Flex is €0 a month and takes 2.95% per booking, so a month with no bookings costs you nothing. Growth (€49) and Pro (€149) are optional: they carry a monthly fee in exchange for a lower commission, which works out cheaper once your volume is high enough.
Which plan should I pick?
Start on Flex. Below roughly €3,400 of bookings a month it works out cheapest, and it costs nothing when you are closed. Move to Growth between €3,400 and €6,700, and to Pro above that. If you are seasonal, remember the fixed fee on Growth and Pro runs through your closed months too.
Does Pro really charge no commission?
Yes. Pro is €149 a month with 0% per booking, so the booking revenue is entirely yours. Payment processing is still billed separately, at the sharpest rates we offer.
Can I change plan?
Yes. The sensible pattern is to start on Flex and move up when your volume makes the fixed fee cheaper. Talk to us if you want help working out where you sit.
How are payments billed?
Separately from the software, on every plan. An iDEAL transaction is 25 cents on Flex, 22 on Growth and 20 on Pro. The full rate card per method is on this page.
What happens to my deposit holds?
A deposit is taken as a pre-authorisation, which places a hold on the customer's card without moving money. It is not billed as a payment transaction unless you settle against it after damage. Releases cost nothing on any plan.
Are the monthly fees excluding VAT?
Prices are quoted per month for business customers. Ask us for a quote with VAT and payment rates set out in full before you decide.
